OPJCC: Skilling for a Better Tomorrow
Youth from underprivileged communities often lack access to quality vocational training aligned with local and national labour market demands. This gap in employable skills and opportunities limits their ability to secure sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the workforce effectively.
Established in 2007, O.P. Jindal Community College (OPJCC) offers vocational education and training to empower youth aged 18-45. With a mission to develop a world-class workforce, OPJCC provides:
- Comprehensive short and long-term technical programmes (3 to 24 months).
- Vocational certifications across multiple occupational sectors, including construction, mechanical trades, hospitality, plumbing, and electrical/power.
- Life skills training in communication, digital literacy, workplace ethics, entrepreneurship, and critical thinking.
- On-site and remote skills training in collaboration with government schemes such as PMKVY, RPL, and NCVT programmes.
- Certified trainers for pan-India training initiatives.
- OPJCC operates four campuses in Raigarh, Angul, Barbil, and Patratu, with outreach extending to remote villages and job sites through the "Skill India" mission.
